TRANSITION COURSE required for all licensees

TRANSITION COURSE  …. required class that all licensees must take!

Every licensee in Washington State is required to take the Transition Course for their renewal after July 2010.  This course essentially covers the changes to Washington State License Laws RCW 18.85 that have been 7 years in the making.

On July 1st, 2010 all real estate salespersons will be called “brokers.”  When they renew their license after July 2010 the license will come back with that title, but licensees will BE brokers on July 1st.  It is basically a name change.  They will not be able to own or manage a real estate firm.

Those licensees holding an associate brokers license on July 1st, 2010 will be called “Managing Brokers” and be able to use that title on that date.  Their licenses will come back with the title when they next renew.

If you renew your license prior to July 1st, 2010 then you can take the transition class for clockhours and it will count towards the requirement that you must take it. You do not have to take it twice.

More information on the new law is in this course… If you have any further questions feel free to email Natalie clockhours at gmail.
