Everyone is talking about the changes to Washington State License Laws that go into effect after July of 2010.  Here is the basic rundown for all of you that are agents NOW.  When you renew you will have to take the 3 hour Core Class, the 3 hour Transition class and 24 other clockhours.  Your license will come back with the title of “Broker” if you were a salesperson.  If you were an Associate Broker it will come back and say “Managing Broker.”  If you were a Designated Broker.. the title will stay the same.   Most of the changes that occur regarding education affect the new licensees.. the newbies that get into the business after July of 2010.  They have to take practices before they get licensed and then have to take more classes to renew the first time.  But, YOU my folks that are currently agents.. you just take the Transition class.. I am writing it right now!!!!

The Transition Course

The Transition Course is required for all licensees for their next renewal after July 1st, 2010. ( If you renew before that date you can satisfy the requirement by taking for this renewal.) You will also have to take the Core Curriculum and 24 other clockhours.

You can take the transition course now… here it is in a pdf.  You can print it out or read on the screen.  You then either mail the answer sheet and evaluation with a check for $30 or you scan it.  There is a pay pal link on the first page if you want to pay by credit card!
