It was the largest FREE real estate conference on social networking for Real Estate agents in the Northwest! Over 450 agents attended Real Estate BarCamp at the Lake Union Armory in Seattle on Tuesday, Sept 8th.
Kicked off by a keynote speech by Ian Watts, the crowd was motivated to start using videos! Ian tapes a video blog from the dashboard of his car. I think about how many times I have to re-do my voice mail message. He says to do it in “one take.” You get used to it over time.
The speakers for BarCamp come from the participants. It is an “unconference.” So, there was a table where people could sign up to run a break out session. There were 5 to 6 sessions every hour and a great lunch from Three Chicks Catering, one of our sponsors!
I loved the session on the iphone, statistics, facebook 101, twitter, and linked in. But, there were more on selling to Generation Y and, of course, the sessions I ran “Google Yourself” and “Teach an old dog new tricks.”
